In 2007 World Unity, Inc. continued to persevere in finalizing the site for the World Unity Landmark at Children’s Wharf Park. While we have been officially designated to build the Landmark in Children’s Wharf Park the Memorandum of Understanding with the Children’s Museum, Parks Department and World Unity, Inc. cannot be signed until the land is officially transferred from the MBTA to the BRA. Once it is transferred it will be leased to the Children’s Museum. The BRA will be officially included in the MOU and signed. We continue to be in communication with all the stakeholders to make sure the process is moving along and receive updates on the progress..

There winners were Keila Lara, third grade student at the Joseph Hurley School in Boston, Elizabeth Gomes, 6th grade student at the Martin E. Young School and Michael Papastavrou an 11th grade student at Waltham High School. The winning poems were narrated by the student and aired on WROR radio throughout the month of February.
