Amanda Giles

Master of Ceremony - Amanda Giles grew up in Marshfield. Her love of music and the allure of radio compelled her to enroll in broadcasting school. She attended the New England Institute of Art and Communications, graduated in May of 2001 and was employed full-time at WMJX-FM Magic 106.7 in February of that year. She has spent 12 years as producer/co-host/news anchor on Magic 106.7, and now landed at the best station in Boston, working with two of the most talented personalities on-air in any city!

Michael T. Watkins, MD

Keynote Speaker - Michael T. Watkins, M.D. is the Director of Vascular Surgery Research at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and the Isenberg Scholar in Academic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. His basic science interests are in delayed and acute spinal cord injury. Born in Washington DC in 1954, he relocated to New York City in 1957. His secondary education was completed at the Peter Stuyvesant High School and undergraduate studies in Biology at New York University. In 1976, he entered Harvard Medical School, where he served as Chairman of the Third World Caucus, a coalition of minority students at Harvard University.

Pitch Slapped

Co-ed Acappella Group - Pitch Slapped is one of the world's premier co-ed a cappella groups. Representing the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, the group's repertoire spans a range of genres, from pop and R&B to rock. Since its founding in 2006, Pitch Slapped has enjoyed a rapid rise to fame.

Named one of the top five a cappella groups in the country by USA Today, the group has won two International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella competitions in 2011 and 2014. In 2010, the group appeared on NBC's The Sing Off and was featured on America's Got Talent in 2015. Most recently, they have toured across the country and internationally to China performing and working with middle school, high school, and collegiate students.
